Historical renovations can always be a little tricky. Ironically its typically all surface things in a residential home; windows, fish scales, the shape of a baluster, color choices. It can get into some serious $$ for material choices, thankfully this deck was all pine. We had to make some custom posts and have a few things milled, but mostly it was out with the old and in with the new that looked like it was from days of old. There was a lot of support framing that needed attention and reworking. We added a few stringers and re-leveled areas that had sunk due to water damage and disrepair. After the new decking was installed we had to install the posts and rails. Aside from the spindles painted light blue in the photos each one was hand cut to match the originals.
